About Hussh

Hussh is two businesses with one mission: make information (especially private personal information) a real financial asset for the human it belongs to, with the human in control of every machine, always.

The technology company builds private personal AI: Private Agent One, iMoney (the money app), the puppy home supercomputer, and the Aloha books. The asset-management company (Hushh Alpha) runs permanent capital on one doctrine: own the world's fastest growers of absolute free cash flow. Fund A, our flagship, launched October 1, 2026; a family of fund products and a low-cost flagship ETF follow. The company is 100% privately owned and profitable, founder-funded to date, no outside investors. The founding team is small and senior: the CEO, our co-founder and founding engineer, and our Founding Public Policy Data Scientist in the US, plus our India team and the IIT Kharagpur research lab. The doctrine your numbers will serve, stated once: create value, deliver value, and turn that value into shareholder equity, for everyone who works with us, invests with us, or does business with us. We hire the best and pay the best, and the finance function is where that promise gets audited.

The role

Mission: the financial truth of the company, and the finance partner the fundraise deserves.

This is the most critical hire we make going into fundraising. Two mandates, one owner. First, the company's financial operations end to end: clean books, managed treasury, a planning cadence with numbers the CEO can recite. Second, the fundraising finance partnership: you are in the room for every capital conversation (the technology-company raise and the funds' capital formation), with the answer when an allocator or investor asks the hard financial question. Not the meeting after. The meeting.

You will build the finance function from its first hires: accounting first, then FP&A, then treasury operations.

What you'll do

  • Own the books: every account reconciled, every entity's finances mapped, an audit trail that is boring in the best way. Build the company to be audited, not to survive one.
  • Run treasury: the firm's cash (where it sits, what it earns, how it is protected) under a written policy. In a founder-funded company, this cash is nearly family money. Treat it that way.
  • Certify the numbers: nothing reaches an investor, an allocator, or a board that you haven't cleared. Fund economics, fee structures, the cap table: walk any of them without notes.
  • Partner the raises: with our CIO function and Capital Formation Partner on the funds, with the CEO on the technology-company raise. Materials, dataroom, diligence, closes without fire drills.
  • Work inside counsel's clearance, never around it: our fund counsel is McDermott Will & Schulte; our compliance partner is Advisor Guidance. Your job includes flagging early when the business needs a structure that doesn't exist yet.

What success looks like in 6 months

  • Books clean and current; treasury under written policy; the CEO knows exactly where the company stands every Monday morning.
  • Both raises run on institutional-grade financial operations: the dataroom survives hostile diligence, and closes happen without financial fire drills.
  • A planning cadence the whole leadership team runs on: budgets, forecasts, and unit economics reviewed on rhythm, from one set of numbers.
  • The audit relationship is productive and the controls are real.

What you bring

  • You have been the finance owner through a real fundraise: a company financing, fund formation economics, or demonstrably both. You have sat across from institutional diligence and been the reason it went well.
  • You have personally closed the books and survived an audit, not by delegation.
  • Fundraising fluency: fund economics, fee and carry structures, cap tables, treasury. In one meeting, without notes.
  • Zero tolerance for soft numbers. One wrong figure in front of an allocator costs a decade; you already know this in your bones.

Nice to have

  • Asset-management or fund-side CFO experience (emerging-manager economics, carry, fund administration).
  • Both-sides experience: operating company *and* investment vehicles.
  • Auditor-selection and first-audit experience at a company being built for institutional scrutiny.

What we offer

$275,000–$375,000 base, a 30–50% target bonus, and a founding equity grant on a 4-year vest. More than the package: a founder who wants a financial conscience, not a scorekeeper; a seat in every capital conversation that matters, and a finance function that is yours to build, at a company where permanent capital is the doctrine and the numbers are the truth we sell on.
