About Hushh Alpha

Hussh is two businesses with one mission: make information (especially private personal information) a real financial asset for the human it belongs to, with the human in control of every machine, always. The technology company bets on AI in the biggest manner there is: personal superintelligence, on the best supercomputers we can build, available to everybody. This seat belongs to the other house, and the other house is not the sideshow.

Hushh Alpha runs permanent capital on one doctrine: own the aces of the aces (the world's fastest growers of absolute free cash flow) at fair prices, with a margin of safety, and compound toward $250 billion under management in our lifetime. The structure is the doctrine made visible: 0% management fee; 25% of profits above a 6% hurdle; permanent capital, no forced selling, ever. Fund A, our flagship, launched October 1, 2026. A family of fund products and a low-cost flagship ETF follow. Fund counsel is McDermott Will & Schulte; our compliance partner is Advisor Guidance.

We are 100% privately owned and profitable: founder-funded, no outside investors, no LPs looking over the operating company's shoulder. And we hire the best and pay the best, on the fund side exactly as on the technology side: the core business gets the same love, the same rigor, and the same bar.

The role

Mission: make the fund house run like a Swiss watch. Operations, compliance, and legal operations under one operator who closes.

Here is the honest shape of the job. The CIO owns the investing. The CFO owns the financial truth. The Capital Formation Partner owns the allocator relationships. Nobody yet owns the machine underneath all three: the fund operations, the compliance program, the vendor bench, the onboarding gauntlet at every prime broker and bank, the hundred unglamorous disciplines that decide whether an allocator's diligence team writes "institutional" or "not yet." That machine is yours.

You are the hustler this house has been missing: the person who takes a bake-off from six vendors to a signed administrator, a questionnaire from draft to filed, a bank's onboarding from month three to done, and who knows, in numbers, what every open item costs us every week it stays open.

One boundary, stated plainly because honesty is the whole brand: this is a legal-operations seat, not a law practice. You run the counsel relationship: McDermott clears, you drive. You will manage outside counsel, compliance consultants, and administrators the way an owner does: scoped, priced, and held to dates. A law degree is respected here, but it is not the job. The job is closure.

What you'll do

  • Run fund operations end to end: administrator, prime brokers, custodians, banks. Every counterparty onboarded, documented, and performing, with one counterparty index that tells the truth about what went to whom, when.
  • Own the compliance program with Advisor Guidance: the RIA's policies, filings, and calendar (Form ADV, Form U4, the examinations and audits we should be able to welcome). Nothing lapses. Nothing is reconstructed after the fact.
  • Run the vendor discipline: bake-offs with written criteria, decisions with the math shown, contracts with dates and owners. The fund-administrator selection closes on your watch.
  • Drive legal operations: every counsel workstream (fund documents, fee terms, structures) tracked to closure with McDermott, with a single list the CEO can read in two minutes.
  • Build the operating cadence of the fund house: the weekly list, the monthly close rhythm with the CFO, the diligence-readiness standard that makes an allocator's operational review boring in the best way.

What success looks like in 6 months

  • Every counterparty relationship is documented and current: administrator selected and live, prime and custody onboarding unblocked, the index complete.
  • The compliance calendar has run for six months without a single late item, and the file that proves it is the file an examiner would ask for.
  • Counsel workstreams close on dates you set: no document older than its deadline, no fee-terms question without an owner and a date.
  • The fund house has a cadence the CEO can recite: what is open, who owns it, when it closes. Asked once, answered in numbers.

What you bring

  • You have run fund operations or a compliance program at an asset manager and can prove it in outcomes: examinations survived, administrators migrated, onboardings closed, with dates and numbers, not adjectives.
  • You have operated a vendor selection end to end (criteria, bake-off, negotiation, signature), and your references include a vendor who lost and still respects how you ran it.
  • Counsel fluency without counsel cosplay: you can read a fund document, spot the operational risk, and brief a partner at McDermott in one page, and you know exactly which questions are theirs, not yours.
  • Closure as a character trait: your open-items lists get shorter. People who have worked with you say the sentence "she/he just gets it done" and then give an example.

Nice to have

  • Emerging-manager experience: you have built the machine while the AUM was still small enough that every discipline was personal.
  • RIA compliance depth: ADV, U4, custody rule, marketing rule. Working knowledge, examination-tested.
  • Both-houses range: you respect the technology company's speed because you understand what operational rigor buys it.

What we offer

$225,000–$300,000 base with a 25–40% target bonus (the band above is constructed for this new seat, interpolated between our verified compliance and fund-finance bands, and will be ratified into the comp plan), and a founding equity grant on a 4-year vest. The real offer: the fund house's machine, yours to build, at a company where value created and value delivered become shareholder equity for everyone who works with us, invests with us, or does business with us, and where the core business is treated like it matters. Because it is the business.
