About Hussh
Hussh is two businesses with one mission: make information (especially private personal information) a real financial asset for the human it belongs to, with the human in control of every machine, always.
The technology company builds private personal AI: Private Agent One (a personal agent that works only for its human, on consent, never on surveillance), iMoney (the money app, investing rebuilt with the human approving every move), the puppy home supercomputer, and the Aloha books. The asset-management company runs permanent capital on one doctrine: own the world's fastest growers of absolute free cash flow, starting with Fund A, live now.
We are 100% privately owned and profitable (founder-funded, no outside investors). Three people in the US today plus our India team and our research lab with IIT Kharagpur. The founding cohort (the first 7–10 engineers and the GTM team beside them) is who we are hiring now. We build like we work at Apple, because we hold that bar: excellence, experience, and ease of use, all three, every ship. The bets underneath: AI in the biggest manner, personal superintelligence for everybody, on the best supercomputers we can build, won partner-first and distributor-first, and judged by one test: value created, value delivered, and value turned into shareholder equity for everyone who works with us, invests with us, or does business with us. Brand, culture, and values weigh as much here as the product, and we hire the best and pay the best.
The role
Mission: be one of the ten people this company is built on. Build the technical spine everything else stands on.
Core engineering owns the deep systems: the personal superintelligence stack from on-device to edge to cloud, the consent-gated data planes where a human's information moves only by their delegation, the PCHP (Personal Consent Handshake Protocol) implementation, identity and trust primitives, and the data infrastructure underneath all of it. Our first ship together: iMoney, production-ready December 27, 2026.
You will work directly with the CEO and with Kushal Trivedi, our co-founder and founding engineer. There is no layer between you and the hardest problems, and no ceiling on what you can own.
What you'll do
- Design and build core systems: data planes, security and identity primitives, protocol implementation, distributed infrastructure that is designed for 10x from the first commit.
- Ship iMoney's core platform toward the December 27 production bar, with the verification discipline we live by: automated tests green *and* a real human walkthrough of every flow. Never tests alone.
- Set the engineering bar by example: in code, in design reviews, in how failure gets handled. The bar you set in month one is the bar this company keeps.
- Build the bridge to our India team: shared rituals, shared standards, one backlog, one team.
- Quantify before you design. If you can't show the numbers behind a system, it isn't designed yet.
What success looks like in 6 months
- iMoney is production-ready on December 27, 2026, on systems you built, at a quality bar that would survive a design review at Apple.
- The core stack's foundations (data planes, identity, consent protocol) are in production and already carrying the next products.
- The engineering bar is written in code, not slides: reviews, tests, and walkthroughs run your way because your way works.
- The India team and the founding cohort operate as one engineering org.
What you bring
- 5+ years building production systems, with at least one system you can walk us through in numbers: load, failure modes, tail latency, what broke and what you changed.
- Depth in at least one of: distributed data systems, security/identity engineering, or infrastructure at scale. Breadth across all three is welcome; depth in one is required.
- A world-class bar, proven: you have shipped inside one (top AI labs, frontier product companies, or systems other engineers study).
- You still write code every week and intend to keep it that way.
- You believe the human should own their information. This is not a slogan here; it is the architecture.
Nice to have
- Privacy-preserving computation, on-device inference, or protocol design experience.
- Experience integrating a distributed team across time zones into one shipping org.
- Forward-deployed instincts: you like sitting with the people who use what you build.
What we offer
Founding cash is honest cash: $180,000–$240,000 base with a milestone bonus, and a founding equity grant on a 4-year vest. Founding-grade ownership, the kind that makes the below-market cash a deliberate trade, not a discount. Founding titles here are permanent: "Founding Engineer" is a fact about when you showed up, and no future executive re-levels it. You will work at founder proximity, on the hardest problems we have, with a team being built to the highest talent density we can find.
Work authorization
We welcome candidates on OPT and STEM OPT. We may not be able to sponsor a visa.
We cannot consider international applicants without US work authorization. Applications without it are automatically rejected.
