About Hussh
Hussh's mission: make information (especially private personal information) a real financial asset for the human it belongs to, with the human in control of every machine, always. The technology company builds private personal AI (Private Agent One, iMoney, the puppy home supercomputer). The asset manager runs permanent capital on the world's fastest growers of absolute free cash flow.
There is a reason a technology company leads with policy: the law is what must change. Today, a human's information can be taken and sold without their consent, and the companies that do it call it an industry. We are building the alternative, and campaigning, in the open, for the law to catch up. Our privacy-law campaign has already reached more than a thousand lawmakers, regulators, and institutions. It has one owner today. It should have you. Hussh is 100% privately owned and profitable (founder-funded, no outside investors), and we hire the best and pay the best. The campaign exists because the mission demands it: information into an asset, and personal superintelligence available to everybody. A bet on AI in the biggest manner, made with partners, never against them. The value test governs the campaign too: every audience we reach must receive more than we ask of them, and the trust that builds becomes equity, for the mission and for everyone who works with us, invests with us, or does business with us. Brand, culture, and values carry the same weight here as the product.
The role
Mission: one owner for the outside world that isn't the market. The law, the government, and the public story.
This is deliberately one role, not three. Policy, government relations, and public relations are the same fight on three fronts: the privacy law must change (policy); the people who write it must know us (government relations); the public must understand why it matters (public relations). Split them and you get three strategies. We need one.
You will work daily with Anoushka Gehani, our Founding Public Policy Data Scientist. She owns the data science and the campaign experimentation she built; you own the function, the relationships, and the load she has been carrying solo. The senior data team sits in your org as the evidence engine. Policy is a CEO-level concern at Hussh, and this seat reports to the CEO because of it.
What you'll do
The doctrine you will represent: the target is always the law, never the builders. The technology companies and AI labs are partners, never adversaries. The threat is the selling of a human's information without their consent. Full stop.
- Own the privacy-law campaign end to end: the agenda (what law changes, in what order), the lawmaker and regulator pipeline (federal, state, and data-protection authorities abroad), and the cadence that keeps every relationship warm.
- Run government relations as a discipline: who we talk to, what we ask for, what we never ask for. Written down, and followed.
- Hold the public story: one narrative, told consistently. The company speaks when it has something true to say, never to fill silence. Press that doesn't serve the mission is a cost, not a win.
- Build the evidence program with the data team: research and analysis that make the policy case undeniable. Evidence first, advocacy second, always.
- Work inside counsel's clearance on every policy position and every regulator-facing statement. You advocate; counsel clears. That rule survives everything.
What success looks like in 6 months
- The campaign runs on rails you own: one dashboard, one cadence, lawmaker and regulator relationships compounding with named next steps. Nothing going cold.
- The policy agenda is written and sequenced, with an evidence program behind each item.
- Anoushka's side of the house has the senior partnership it was missing, and her campaign experimentation has a function around it, not just a founder's admiration.
- Hussh's public voice is disciplined and unmistakable: fewer words, every one earned.
What you bring
- You have changed or shaped an actual policy outcome: legislation, regulation, or a public campaign with measurable results. Not advocated. Moved something.
- Active relationships with lawmakers, regulators, or their senior staff: current, not historical.
- You can argue the same truth three ways: to a skeptical committee, a hostile reporter, and a friendly regulator.
- The discipline of few words: every touch weighed, nothing throwaway, nothing that didn't earn its place.
Nice to have
- Privacy, data-protection, or technology-policy specialization; familiarity with US state privacy law and international regulators.
- A combined policy + communications background: this role is built for someone who has refused to choose between them.
- Experience building an evidence/research program behind an advocacy agenda.
What we offer
$180,000–$250,000 base, a 20–30% target bonus, and a founding equity grant on a 4-year vest. The real offer: a mission with a theory of change, a campaign already in motion, a CEO who treats policy as a first-order concern, and the chance to be the person who helped make a human's information *theirs* in law, not just in our product.
